Sculpture

How did you use your own unique ideas in your work?
-I looked up many pictures for Alice type things and from my own imagination i wanted to make interesting things the look through.

these are some of my inspiration pictures that I used:

Did you use a source for inspiration, then combine it with your own ideas to make it original?
-I used the books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as my source of inspiration. I made shadow boxes, each one had a theme according to a scene in a chapter from the book.

How did you respond to challenges that occurred as you worked?
- I dropped one of the boxes and three of the transparent layers got out of place and the top of the box was already on so i had to stick a pencil into it and it was very hard to fix. Don't be clumsy people!

Did your work take an unexpected turn due to a mistake or did something happen that was unplanned?

- The first box that i made had many layers so it took longer than expected to cut out and draw. This resulted in not enough time to make all of the boxes. There are supposed to be 6 but I made 4 and one was not finished so I only have 3

Art Journal

The topic I had was grow. I used this by making the color of the page mostly green, this is because when you see green you usually relate it to plants and growth. I have an old man, he has grown from a small child to an old man.

Did you try something that you weren’t sure about as part of this project?
 - Basically the whole thing was just an experiment and placing things on top of other things to see if it would look interesting.

Did you pick a material or technique that was new or different over something that was familiar?
- I used a technique that scraped the paper off but that did not work too well, I also used a different glue adhesive but it doesn't really look like it did much to it.

Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project?
- Layering makes the art work look interesting and it adds depth
Did you gain skill with familiar materials?
- glueing and it is better to use EX-ACTO knifes

Art history music video

We chose The Unicorn in Captivity and its from the gothic era. Me and the two other people in my group worked on the background and the fence. Canyon was the unicorn. If we did it again i would paint more flowers.

Perspective

When did you take a step back to analyze your work during this project? After i colored in the black tattoo i thought it was too much.
Did you consider how ideas would work before you do them? Not really
What are some issues? I thought the hand on the top looked weird and the picture made the nose look weird
How is the art about what you like? Its a drawing of Oli Sykes

Portrait

Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project? I should color big areas in slower.
Did you gain skill with familiar materials? Yes with cutting out all the flowers
How did you use your own ideas? In the hair i wanted to make it my natural hair color and the color i had at the moment which was purple so i combined them.
Did you use a source and combine it with your ideas? The tea cups are someones tattoo.

Printmaking - "Zombie Cat"

How did you respond to challenges that occurred as you worked?
-I tried to cover it up or I accepted that I could not fix it because it is ink.

Did your work take an unexpected turn due to a mistake or did something happen that was unplanned?
-Yes I forgot to mark where I placed the layer of black so when I did the layer of pink it was not lined up correctly

When did you step back and analyze your work during this project?
-After I drew the image for the cat and after I placed the layer of black ink down

Did you consider how ideas would work before you tried them?
-Yes, I took a while to decide which colors would work well with the zombie cat

Color Project

In Progress:
For the project i picked disguise. I drew alot of flowers and a girl so shes hiding in the flowers for a disguise. To draw the project i used pencil and colored pencils. On the final i added glitter to the girls cheeks

Complete:
I think that the project was successful and i am most proud of the flowers and the hair because they were both a little complicated to make. I would change where i put some of the flowers because two or three of them are very good looking and they were covered by flowers that were put on top. I learned that next time I should choose where i place things in advance before i already make it.

Two in One Project

I used pencils and ink to create a mixture of a fox's head and a human's body. I used pencil and ink because it is the easiest for me to add details and draw with.
Halfway into the drawing i did not like my drawing compared to my sketch so i drew a new picture of a bird man. Which i liked better but it didn't have as many elements to the body as I drew in the fox drawing.
I ended up with the original drawing. If I could improve something then I would go over it and add more details to it in ink. Also the piece needs for some places in it to be darker.
